Salt Water House is an Australian production company founded by Brendan Donoghue and Amanda Maple-Brown, screen industry veterans with over 30 years of experience in Film and Television.


From their earliest days in iconic Australian films like Blackrock, The Square and the Academy Award Nominated Miracle Fish to producing ITVX's and Stan’s original series C*A*U*G*H*T, and Executive Producing the 2025 Berlinale Caligari prize winning film Fwends, and the 2022 Audience choice award winner at the Sydney Film Festival Evicted!. Brendan and Amanda have shaped their careers around compelling, audience driven storytelling. Their filmmaking evolution brings a full-circle understanding of the creative and commercial dynamics of filmmaking.


Salt Water House exists to champion bold stories, nurture the brightest emerging & established voices, & create works that will elevate and resonate across cultures.

Producer of ITVX's C*A*U*G*H*T winner of “Outstanding International Series” at Screen Fest in the US 2024, Executive Producer of Fwends, 2025 Berlinale Forum’s Caligari Film Prize for innovation. Executive producer of Nash Edgerton’s 2025 Flickerfest Opning Night film Candy Bar and Running Lines.

 

Amanda Maple-Brown

Founder & Producer


Executive Produced the 2022 SFF Audience Award winning feature Evicted!, along with the 2025 Berlinale Feature Fwends, Candy Bar, and Running Lines, and founder of the SFF Director’s Lab and Sustainable Future Award. Board member of Sydney Film Festival.
